Corporate Meetings-Step Outside

Strategy planning, executive team meetings, sales offsites, incentives, and team building are just a few of the uses for our newest vessel to the Shark Diver fleet. Our shark crews can assist you with all your corporate function needs. We can produce team shirts and hats with your brand on it, film and produce corporate sales videos and make your next corporate function one that will go down in your company’s history. In a world where everyone does the same thing, and companies look to Las Vegas as “a fun meeting place” let Absolute Adventures-Shark Diver provide you with the ultimate tool to set you apart from the competition. Dive experience is not necessary, as always we’ll work with your group to make this occasion one to remember. Why do the ordinary this year when the extraordinary is waiting for you in San Diego?

Food Service

Meals aboard the Islander are key to any successful dive expedition. Group leaders will be happy to note that we take great pride in taking care of all your divers food needs. The galley is fully equipped for any style of cooking providing divers with a wide range of cuisine. From traditional meals to the freshest fish in the world (caught daily), or meals that cater to religious observance, the Islander cuts no corners in efforts to present a truly memorable dining experience. Dietary restrictions are not a problem and our on board chef looks forward to accommodating your needs. The Islanders galley/salon area is spacious with ample room for 16+ passengers at one seating. Complete with TV and VCR/DVD, and internet access, the salon is an excellent place to wind down after a day of incredible shark diving or while en route to Isla Guadalupe. All beverages-including beer and wine-are available at no extra cost. We are proud to feature “Great White Wines” at www.greatwhitewines.com with your meals. This local eco minded company gives back 10% of its total sales to ongoing shark research world wide, and they have a fantastic wine.

Cage Diving Design

Absolute Adventures-Shark Diver oversaw the complete fabrication and updated design of the Islanders shark cage system, mirroring them against our huge 100 square foot successful Guadalupe Two design that we currently deploy aboard the Ocean Odyssey. They feature external flotation pods allowing for more space and comfort inside the cages. Plus two unique external observation hatches for film crews who are looking for another angle to film Great White Sharks. In short, one of Absolute Adventures-Shark Divers most important considerations is cage design, and safety. We have produced the best cages available to dive with; after all it’s where you and your group will be spending most of your time with us.

Professional Photography

The Islander is looking forward to assisting you, the professional or semi-professional, with all your underwater photographic needs. We have set aside select dates with renound underwater photographer Phil Colla located at www.oceanlight.com who’ll be aboard to informally assist you. This is your unique opportunity to learn underwater photographic skills from someone who has shot Guadalupe from almost every angle possible over the past 10 years. In our opinion, Mr.Colla remains one of the best shooters on the planet, his attention to details and eye for the perfect shot is what sets him apart. He’s also a genuinely nice fellow and looking forward to meeting you in 2005.

Long Range Fishing

Like the Ocean Odyssey, the Islander offers amazing big game fishing with gear supplied to you on board. The crew is ready to assist you land one of the monster Tuna and Yellowtail that inhabit the waters around Isla Guadalupe. Cage diving is fun; nailing an 80 pound Yellowfin is as exciting as skydiving. Last season the world record Yellowtail (96 pounds) was caught at our site in the middle of our shark season. The Islander crew can also freeze your catch so you can take it home with you at the end of your expedition with us at no extra charge.

Islander Technical Specs

At 92 x 24 feet the Islander is also powered by two reliable Caterpillar 3406 Diesel engines that are routinely maintained for maximum performance. Her size cuts down on rougher crossings to and from Isla Guadalupe and provides superior diving comfort while on site. Twin 55KW Isuzu generators provide ample power at all times. The boat has a fresh water tank which is supplemented as needed by a reverse osmosis water maker capable of generating 400 gallons of water daily. This surplus of fresh water provides all our divers with ample hot water in either of the two main showers aboard or through our hot water deck shower, the perfect way to warm up after a long dive with Great Whites. The Islander has been refitted for 2004 with a “built in” low pressure air system for our divers; it is one of three boats in the entire fleet to have this system in place. Like the Odyssey, built in air systems provide our divers with the dedicated air systems and safety aspects we demand from our shark boats.

Group Sales

The Islander accommodates groups of 16+ divers, all group leaders automatically come for free. We are looking forward to providing you and your groups with the vacation of a lifetime, tell our contacts what your needs are and Absolute Adventures-Shark Diver will make it happen for you.
